O come all you people who hear!
Come close, sit down, gather near!
To hear of a story
of honor and glory
and the battle of courage o'er fear.
A young maiden was captured a slave;
our heros decided to save.
They left by dawn's light
and were ready to fight.
I say thou will meet none more brave!
On Watchtower Hill
just south of Cormeer
Six friends faced an Ettin,
ignoring their fear.
Taklinn the dwarf
and the monster did fight
in a glorious battle
that took his life's light.
Up Watchtower Hill they did creep,
with ale laced to put it to sleep.
A pig and ale bait,
and there they would wait,
astill and not making a peep.
The creature grew tired from drink.
Taklinn with no pause to think
of the danger at hand,
he just followed the plan,
shouted out "Wake up, foul pile of stink!"
On Watchtower Hill
just south of Cormeer
Six friends faced an Ettin,
ignoring their fear.
Taklinn the dwarf
and the monster did fight
in a glorious battle
that took his life's light.
The five friends with arrow and bow
shot at the dwarf's mighty foe,
while Taklinn engaged
the creature enraged
and suffered a bone-crushing blow.
But dwarves are much stronger than most
(though Taklinn was not one to boast).
He shook that one off,
and continued to scoff
when everyone thought he was toast.
On Watchtower Hill
just south of Cormeer
Six friends faced an Ettin,
ignoring their fear.
Taklinn the dwarf
and the monster did fight
in a glorious battle
that took his life's light.
The Ettin was suffering badly.
Taklinn was dashing 'round madly.
The help from his friends
could not stop the end
as they looked on the scene o so sadly.
The battle was turning too grim
as the giant struck once more at him.
The swing from its arm
caused unstoppable harm
and the world became that much more dim.
On Watchtower Hill
just south of Cormeer
Six friends faced an Ettin,
ignoring their fear.
Taklinn the dwarf
and the monster did fight
in a glorious battle
that took his life's light.
A few more good shots from the friends
brought about the vile monster's end.
But no matter of healing,
praying or kneeling
could bring back the noble Taklinn.
So hear me now, one and you all,
and know that no matter how small,
I ask that you yearn,
from Taklinn do learn,
to answer when courage does call!
We remember Taklinn, you and I,
he had limitless honor to die,
and by the Gods graces,
and in all the races,
let all beings place honor so high.
On Watchtower Hill
just south of Cormeer
Six friends faced an Ettin,
ignoring their fear.
Taklinn the dwarf
and the monster did fight
in a glorious battle
that took his life's light.
