His/Her Majesty, [Name-Number] Gonorath, Ruler of Nythoria and Emperor of the World and Chosen of the Gods.
Coat of Arms
The coat of arms for Nythoria is a turquoise shield diagonally pierced by two turquoise arrows with the arrowheads at the upper left and upper right of the shield. On the center of the shield is a violet four-pointed star. All rests on a field of violet. It is shown here for the royal house with a turquoise crown in upper left corner.
Government
Frequent coups and assassinations have left the Nythorian throne shaky. The power base in the region is with the local lords; in the capital city, the Council rules. Each of the nine members of the Council has their own armies and rules a section of the sprawling city.
The principality of Alize broke away from Nythoria years ago and, though it is not formally recognized as a separate entity by any other kingdom, it is supported by Laladen, Toroth and Eslebi. A state of civil war formally exists between Nythoria and Alize, with the other regions siding with Nythoria or remaining neutral.

With few exceptions, Nythoria's population is urban or in agricultural or mining areas immediately surrounding the major cities and towns. Internal trade is government sponsored, with caravans leaving at regular intervals between cities with large military contingents. Though Nythoria's road system is not extensive, it is in very good condition between the major cities and towns; the exception to this is Alize, where war has ravaged the infrastructure. Nythoria enjoys river and sea trade as well. Its major trading partners are Laladen and Ishyr.

Notes
The city of Nythoria has nine gates, one of which is the westernmost, called the Aronin Gate. It is cursed. If you pass through the gate coming into the city, nothing will happen, but if you go out of the city through that gate, it is said that you or someone close to you will die within the year.
